Dragon City Industries Limited (DCI) manufactures audio, video, power and general electronic interconnect components. The company has operated since 1993 and states that its engineers can support customer-specific designs in addition to its standard connector range. The official product portfolio includes 2.5 mm, 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm phone jacks in through-hole and surface-mount configurations, DC power jacks, banana jacks and plugs, binding posts, terminal plugs, Mini-DIN sockets, USB and SD-card connectors, XLR and Mini-XLR microphone connectors, network connectors, optical jacks, FPC connectors, AC sockets and a broad range of RF connectors. RF families include F, BNC and SMA interfaces as well as compression connectors and other coaxial products. DCI also supplies RCA jack boards, speaker terminals, car plugs, battery clips and snaps, wire assemblies, fuse holders, fuses, tact switches, rocker switches and other switch products. This breadth makes the portfolio relevant to audio/video equipment, communications hardware, instrumentation, power interfaces and general embedded electronics. For design engineers, connector selection should consider contact configuration, current and voltage rating, contact resistance, insulation, mounting method, PCB footprint, mating cycles, mechanical retention and the geometry of the enclosure or panel. RF connectors additionally require attention to characteristic impedance, frequency range, insertion loss and the transition from the connector to the PCB or cable. Audio connectors must be evaluated for switching contacts, channel configuration and mechanical wear, while DC power jacks require appropriate current capability and mating compatibility. DCI’s combination of standard interconnect families, wire assemblies and customer-design support allows engineers to coordinate electrical connectivity and mechanical integration across multiple interface types within the same product.
